Shamsa Al Omaira

Shamsa Al Omaira is an Emirati multidisciplinary artist and designer. In her work she conceptually explores complexity of emotions and psychological states of the mind. Al Omaira’s work is associated with thoughts, feelings, and behavioral responses. Through her process of art making, her work transcends and becomes a form of personal confessions. Her ideas are expressed through a variety of media including painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture and installation, found and collected materials.

Shamsa Al Omaira

Shamsa Al Omaira (b. 1989, UAE) holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art & Design with a focus on visual art from Zayed University.

 

Al Omaira has exhibited extensively throughout her career, including her solo exhibition, 'Deer in the Headlights,’ Ghaf Art Gallery, Abu Dhabi (2012). Her work is part of a number of prominent private and public collections.

 

Al Omaira currently lives and works in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
