Toby’s Estate Art Collective: Where Coffee, Art and Culture Interlace

Hotel & Catering News Middle East, March 29, 2024

Renowned for its commitment to quality and building a community around its brand values, Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters is thrilled to unveil its latest venture at the Jumeirah branch – Toby’s Estate Art Collective – a concept that celebrates the fusion of passion and purpose.

In partnership with Iris Projects, formerly known as Iris Art Advisory, Toby’s Estate Art Collective offers a unique platform for emerging and established artists of the UAE to showcase their exceptional pieces. Each artwork on display represents an expression of artistry and passion and is meticulously curated to elevate your experience.

Kicking off the inaugural exhibition are two captivating pieces by esteemed artist Juma Alhaj. Entitled “At the Heart of it All” and “What Was Once Said to Me,” these artworks invite guests to immerse themselves in a world where passion meets perfection. With his distinctive brushstrokes, Alhaj captures the essence of human connection and introspection – themes that resonate deeply with Toby’s Estate’s mission of fostering meaningful experiences.

Tareq Alshaikh, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacle Group said, “We are deeply honoured to partner with Iris Projects, an initiative that extends beyond the traditional art gallery to empower artists across the UAE. At Toby’s Estate, we strive to create a space that not only welcomes but fosters a genuine sense of community and authenticity and this Art Collective exemplifies our dedication to that mission. It’s more than just artwork on the wall, it’s a vibrant celebration of creativity, community and collaboration.”

Emphasising their commitment to making art more accessible and integrated into daily life, Lateefa Bin Hamoodah and Maryam Al Falasi, Founders of Iris Project commented, “For many, art often feels dehumanised and unattainable – confined within gallery spaces, museums and auction houses. We saw this as an opportunity to place art back to a more human surrounding, where collecting culture becomes a lifestyle.”

Toby’s Estate harbours the sum of what I enjoy surrounding myself with – refined design, great coffee, a lively place to work and put my thoughts in writing while simultaneously getting lost in its vibrant energy,” says artist Juma Alhaj.
