Dubai Culture co-hosted a panel discussion titled Contemporary Art in the Gulf: Archiving, Movements & Exchanges in collaboration with the Fiker Institute.
This discussion offered the opportunity to learn about the intersection of tradition and innovation in Gulf art and its contributions to global artistic culture. Participants included Salwa Mikdadi, Director of the Al Mawrid Arab Center for the Study of Art; Maryam Al Falasi, Co-Founder of Iris Projects; and Emirati visual artist Noor Al Suwaidi. The panel was moderated by curator Munira Al Sayegh, founder of the Dirwaza Art Evaluation Lab.
