Commissioned for the 2025 iteration of Sikka, Dubai, Sikham is the most recent public art installation by Roudhah Al Mazrouei, in collaboration with architect Sahil Rattha Singh.

Sikham is more than a sculpture - it is a testament to our shared heritage and history, a bridge that brings our community together through the universal language of art.

The 7-meter monolith functions as a wind tower, drawing inspiration from the traditional material sikham. Honouring the ancient art of creating charcoal from Samra and Sidr trees, the piece integrates traditional practices with modern artistic expression to preserve local environmental and agricultural knowledge from Bedouin practices.

Its name derives from sikhama referring to the blackened bottom of a cooking pot.
